Halfway Through the Year - 2018

Hi, guys!  We’re halfway through another year, and I’ve got about a quarter of my first novel written in its final format.  It’s exciting!  No more changing the story from here on out, this is the final version.   (It's already at 70,000 words, so that means I'll have a huge edit to do, but it's good so far!)  It’s amazing to look at the completed outline and see so easily what needs done and what has been accomplished, where tiny fixes can be added, and what scenes will inspire some artwork and some future merchandise.  I’ve ordered my airbrush kit for the unique artistic pieces I’ll be creating for the series, so there is some excitement there as well. Paints, thinner and cleaner, and the compressor with its accessories.
Our vacation to Turner Falls in May was a blast this year, and we revisited the Renaissance Fair in Muskogee, Oklahoma as well.  A first, however, was a trip to Oklahoma City, to visit one of the plant nurseries there.  It was all very lovely, the various cultivars of the exotic plants and the large school of coy.
And (hopefully) planned for October or November is the finished first draft of my debut novel!  I’ll be giving out teasers as we get closer to completion, and maybe I’ll dole out some art concepts too.
I plan to continue completing the tasks I’ve set this year—from layaway items I’ve put on the list, to building cabinets and organizers from scratch, to putting food plants in our growing flower garden, to finishing the first book and getting merchandise started.
This year is still going strong, and there are still many things to keep me a mad little busywoman.
May the year continue to be as prosperous, busy, inspiring, and productive for you as well!!!
